Add Expense
This determines whether the expense reduces cumulative cash at hand or M-Pesa balance.
Set Current Balances
Enter the actual cash and M-Pesa balances you have now. This becomes the opening point for future balance calculations. It does not change sales, expenses, purchases or profit.
Opening balances
Enter the opening accounting balances at your cutover date. Cash and M-Pesa also become the opening point for the cash-flow ledger. Do not enter current inventory here if your product opening stock has already been captured in Inventory.
Opening balances establish the starting accounting position. They do not create sales, purchases or expenses.
Record Capital Injection
Owner money introduced into the business. This is a cash-flow inflow, not sales revenue and not profit.
Record Loan Received
Money borrowed by the business. It increases Cash/M-Pesa and creates a loan liability; it is not sales revenue.
